School Lunches

Children can enjoy a school meal or bring a packed lunch from home. The school meal is cafeteria style, nutritionally balanced and freshly prepared and cooked on the premises by our own kitchen team.  There is a choice of main courses (including cold options), vegetables and hot or cold desserts.  The children are also provided with a drink.

Parents are asked to ensure that packed lunches are nutritionally balanced and carefully stored.  Drinks should be brought in a sturdy plastic flask, screw top plastic bottle or carton.  Please do not send glass bottles or canned drinks.

It is really important that parents keep school informed of any special dietary needs / allergies so that necessary support/ procedures can be put in place.

Please note; we are a nut-free school so please ensure that all items in your child’s packed lunch do not contain nuts.

Lunches are eaten in the dining hall or hall, supervised by lunchtime supervisors, who also look after the children in the playground before and after they eat their lunch.

At lunchtimes children have the opportunity to play with friends across different year groups and our Play Leaders (older KS2 children) facilitate a range of games and activities. We also have enhanced lunchtime provision from Inspire, who lead active games for different year groups each day of the week.
