About
Message from Executive Headteacher, Ellie Ballinger
I am delighted to introduce myself as the Executive Headteacher of St Michael’s Primary School.
At St Michael’s, children are at the heart of everything we do as we believe they should feel happy, included, safe, inspired and excited to learn with confidence in God’s hand. We want to ensure that children have the best possible start in life, are successful in their learning journey, and are exposed to opportunities that will equip them with lifelong skills, confidence and a thirst for learning which encourages them to be courageous advocates who are aspirational and ambitious citizens of the future.
St Michael’s has a dedicated team of teachers, teaching assistants and support staff who work tirelessly to provide a safe, inclusive and engaging environment in which our children thrive academically, emotionally and socially. All children and staff are encouraged to be kind, respectful and brave and to be the best versions of themself each and every day.
As a two-form entry school, with strong established links with our local church and the community, we pride ourselves on knowing our children and having effective relationships with our families. The partnership between home and school is crucial for the success of all our children and so we encourage open communication and collaboration with parents and carers.
We are delighted to be a member of the Arthur Terry Learning Partnership (ATLP), a respected multi-academy trust which consists of primary and secondary schools and a teaching school across Staffordshire, West Midlands and Warwickshire. The power of working with colleagues across the ATLP family ensures that ‘together we are stronger’ and that we are always challenging children in their academic growth whilst also providing them with experiences and enrichment opportunities which makes their learning meaningful, memorable and purposeful.
